Today we visited Junction Park State School with Brisbane South organiser Brendan Crotty. The staff and union reps shared a morning tea with us to get an update from Brendan.
We then attended a number of meetings in Ed House with Kate Seed where we learnt a great deal about the collaboration and negotiation process over a number of workplace and broader issues. The first was with Gary Innes, Rynell Hastie-Burroughs and Kathleen Patching from EQ HR, reagrding country teacher placements, then with Angela Seeto and Mel Bennett regarding Centres for Excellence.
We finished the day with a branch meeting for North East Brisbane Branch with Brisbane North Organiser Fiona McNamara, where Kate Seed was a guest speaker on LCCs.
